About the programme

The Tech Launch Grant supports founders who have moved past the idea stage and now need serious capital to reach a first commercial release. Awards are paid in two tranches, the second released once the agreed milestone is evidenced.

Who can apply

Incorporated in the United States, fewer than fifty employees, under fifteen million dollars in lifetime funding, and a product in market or in testing.

What the committee expects to see

• A problem statement written in plain language, with the cost of the problem today
• Evidence that someone other than the founder wants this solved
• A budget for the award broken down by line, adding to the amount requested
• Three milestones with dates the committee can check against
• Formation papers and an employer identification number
